  9. Interior decoration (gypsum board or plywood sheets, lining, etc.)

Mounting Tips

How effective is the installation of insulation from the inside:

  1. Firstly, it greatly simplifies the process of insulation, since there is no need to remove the roofing and hire specialists for installation work.
  2. Secondly, the process itself is accelerated - all materials are at hand, so one master can handle the installation work.

3 important rules to follow when insulating the attic:

  1. Before installing the mineral thermal insulation, a superdiffusion membrane is attached to the rafters. It is necessary. The membrane serves as a hydro-barrier, "breathable" and vapor-permeable protection of the entire internal structure of the roof.
  2. You need to cut and install the insulation with canvases that are 10-15 mm wider than the distance between the rafters. This is necessary to securely fix the insulation. So the material will be firmly fixed by surprise and will not slip.
  3. A ventilation gap should be left between the roofing and the waterproofing membrane (blue arrow in the diagram above). The height of the gap, depending on the slope of the roof, should be from 40 to 100 mm.

Why do we need two layers of thermal insulation?

In most regions of our country, the climate is cold. To achieve the optimal coefficient of resistance to heat transfer, one layer of insulation is not enough. Therefore, after laying the mineral insulation, a crate is mounted perpendicular to the rafters and a second layer of thermal insulation is laid in it. It is recommended to use URSA mineral insulation as insulation. Pitched roof.

URSA insulation for pitched roofs - reliable thermal protection

URSA GEOURSA GEO FrameCompared to other types of insulation, they have similar or higher thermal conductivity and at the same time lighter weight.
URSA GEOURSA GEO FrameThey are mounted closely between the rafters by surprise, there are no gaps and cracks, which means that there will be no additional heat loss.
URSA GEOURSA GEO FrameRationally used in the installation process - the material in rolls is cut with virtually no waste.
URSA GEOURSA GEO FrameProduced using the German fiber distribution technology URSA Spannfilz (from German - "elastic felt"). Thanks to Spannfilz technology, the product has a special structure and increased elasticity, which ensures a stable position in the structure for the entire service life.

Most importantly, such insulation will last 50 years or more. This means that it will need to be replaced no earlier than updating the roofing. 50 years is a guarantee, but it can be used much longer.

Choose URSA pitched roof insulation with a 50-year warranty on thermal insulation materials. It is easy to transport and easy to install.
