Socket connection
We will consider only PVC pipes, since the use of other types of pipes today is considered irrational.
So, perhaps the easiest way to connect plastic pipes is bell-shaped. Almost all sewer pipes on sale today are equipped with a socket and are ready for use with little or no additional preparation.
What is a trumpet? This is a widening of one of the ends of the pipe, equipped with a sealing rubber ring.
How to connect sewer pipes with a socket
Let's describe how to make a socket pipe connection:
- To begin with, you should check that the ends to be joined do not have bulges, deflections and other types of marriage. This is especially true for the rubber sealing ring.
- If necessary, clean the ends of dirt, in addition, put a mark on the smooth (non-bell) end, which will indicate the depth of the pipe entering the socket.

It is necessary to insert the smooth end of the pipe into the socket not until it stops, but with a gap of 1 cm. The gap will not allow the pipeline to bend during thermal expansion and will serve as a kind of backlash.
- Before insertion into the socket, the end face of the smooth end is chamfered, and also lubricated with a special silicone compound or WD-40. So inserting one pipe into another through a rubber seal will be much easier.

- Next, you need to insert the smooth end into the socket and make sure that both connected elements form a straight section of the pipeline without bending and skew, that is, that the pipe axes merge into one.
