everything is done as it should, the build quality is completely satisfied. After installation, the column has been working for 3 years, with virtually no failures. During the use revealed one drawback and then associated with the installation of a water heater. The water inlet is made at an uncomfortable angle.

I think that the Baxi column is better than the promoted Bosch, Vaillant, etc. In terms of price and quality, I did not find such options. The column consistently produces 45-50 ° C even in the winter season, copes with several simultaneously operating points of water consumption. I am satisfied with the purchase.
How to install a Baksi gas boiler
- The installation room must comply with current building codes and regulations. Minimum requirements for the boiler room: ceiling height 2.2 m; area 12 m², the presence of a vent or an opening window.
- Mounting on supporting structures is prohibited.
- Installation and connection of a wall-mounted flow boiler is allowed only on walls made of solid and durable building materials. When installed on a wooden surface, heat-insulating protection is required to prevent fire.
- The piping of the Baxi gas water heater includes a scale prevention system and filters.
- The diameter of the chimney must not be reduced when connected. Vertical sections should not exceed 3 m. The height of the chimney is calculated depending on the distance from the roof ridge.
- When installing a floor-standing gas water heater, take into account that the weight of a filled tank can exceed 350 kg. Before installation, a solid concrete pad is prepared. It is allowed to cover the base with ceramic tiles.
- The case is exposed strictly on vertical and horizontal level.
Installation of a geyser - norms, requirements, SNiP
According to existing standards, the connection of gas-consuming equipment is carried out exclusively by specialists who have the appropriate license and permission to work. A mark of commissioning is placed in the dispenser passport.

How to install a Baxi boiler correctly
- Connecting the Baxi boiler to the Baxi gas boiler is carried out strictly according to the diagram attached to the instruction manual. The installation of the heating element and its connection to the power supply network must be carried out by an electrician who has a permit to carry out such work.
- During installation, it is recommended to use the branded boiler connection kit for the Baxi boiler. The manufacturer produces control valves, separately for condensing and classic boilers. A separate kit is designed for connection to heating equipment manufactured by the company itself.
- The piping of the boiler and the Baksi boiler allows the connection of circulation and other equipment.In the tank there are specially marked outlets for connection to the supply and return pipelines of the heating system.
It is better that the connection of the indirect heating boiler of the Baxi brand is carried out by specialists, representatives of the manufacturer's company. After installation and performance check, the container is put on warranty service.
How to clean a Baxi boiler
- The power wires are disconnected.
- The flange with the electric heater is removed.
- The inner container is washed out. You can use special solutions for cleaning.

Possible problems and their resolution
Even selected Italian speakers can have some technical problems. Troubleshooting directly depends on the type of equipment.
If there is no spark at SIG 2-11p, the causes may be related to:
- disconnected wire of the piezoelectric part;
- disruption of her own performance;
- poor connection of the piezoelectric element;
- electrode deformation.
A different approach is needed when column 11i, 14i does not light up. First of all, it is worth checking the health of the batteries. After that, inspect the wire through which the current flows to the electrode. Additionally, you will have to examine the electrode itself, automation, and the membrane. Such manipulations and subsequent repair (replacement) must be carried out by trained specialists.
The user himself can create the necessary water pressure by turning the regulator to the extreme position. It happens that a spark seems to be jumping, but it still fails to turn on the column. A very common cause is a dirty ignition nozzle, which is purged and cleaned mechanically. You should also check whether the electrode responsible for ignition is correctly positioned.
Additional measures include checking the opening of the gas valve, removing air that has entered the gas pipeline and replacing the problematic electronic unit. When the burner fuse randomly goes out, you will have to change either the thermocouple or the coil. Judging by customer reviews, it is sometimes found that the fuse is burning, but it does not initiate the burning of the main torch. The solution to the problem is to increase the pressure of water in the system or change the worn membrane. Sometimes there is another problem: even when the water is stopped, the burner does not go out.
In the case when the heat exchanger plates become clogged too quickly, it can be assumed that the reason is insufficient draft, the dustiness of the room. Examine the chimney and increase the draft level if necessary. You can fight the yellow flame if you use only the type of gas for which the column is configured. It also often helps to clean the burners.
The appearance of a gas odor means the need to inspect the gas pipeline and all joints with a soapy solution, following standard precautions.
It happens that the "aroma" of gaseous products of combustion spreads around the room. They begin to fix the problem by checking the draft in the chimney and the quality of the smoke removal. It is also worth evaluating whether the gas consumption has increased excessively, because its intensive combustion may exceed the evacuation capacity of the chimney. If, when a new battery is inserted, the column screen shows the readings of the temperature sensor, but the system does not work when the hot tap is opened, it is necessary to adjust the screw that presses the pusher button to the microswitch lever. Strict adherence to these recommendations will significantly extend the life of the column and get the most out of it.

The principle of operation of the Baxi boiler
- Magnesium anode is a unique technology that reduces the appearance of scale on the inner walls of the boiler. Installed next to the heating element.
- Built-in coil - hot water is heated as follows. Inside the case there is a coil placed in a metal flask. Water from the heating system is passed through the circuit. The coolant heats the water surrounding the coil to a comfortable 36-40°C.
- Water recycling - the disadvantage of all double-circuit boilers is that after opening the water supply tap, it takes a long time until hot water begins to flow to the consumer. To avoid this, install a recirculation system. The point is that hot water constantly circulates from the boiler to the water supply tap and back. The principle of operation of the Baksi indirect heating boiler is based on the use of constant recirculation, which provides instant hot water supply to the consumer.
- Additional heater to maintain the temperature - after the heating system is turned off in the summer or due to the burnout of the main type of fuel, the tubular heating element is turned on. The unit starts working like a normal electric boiler.
- The internal structure of the Baxi boiler is similar to that used in a conventional storage tank with an electric tubular heater, only the functions of the heating element are performed by a coil with water circulating through it from the heating system. The body is lined with insulating material. Thermal insulation thickness, depending on the chosen model, 50 or 100 mm. Insulation ensures that the maximum daily heat loss will not exceed 1-1.5°C.
- Volume - Baxi boilers are available with the possibility of wall and floor installation. Capacity of tanks, from 100 to 2500 liters. To facilitate the installation of the Baxi indirect heating boiler, special fasteners are offered in the kit.
- The design of the heat exchanger uses the principle of layer-by-layer heating of water. The special design ensures a rapid rise in water temperature. Almost immediately after opening the water supply tap, hot water is supplied to the consumer.
Modifications and alternatives
Before talking about the speakers themselves, you should pay attention to alternative proposals from the same concern. Accumulative water heaters of the Italian company are represented by the SAG3 model
These devices are suitable for both domestic and industrial sectors. According to the manufacturer, using them to replace obsolete heating equipment means ensuring a stable supply of large amounts of water.
The design difference is:
- open type of gas combustion chamber;
- piezoelectric ignition;
- autonomy from power supply;
- high-quality enamel on the walls of the storage tank, which reliably restrains corrosion;
- the possibility of installation both on the walls and on the floor;
- environmentally and sanitary-neutral thermal protection.
But there are situations when neither such equipment nor the outdated model of the Main 24 fi boiler suits consumers. In such a case, the Baxi geyser comes to the rescue, providing the flow of water in flow mode. The Italian company has developed a family of devices SIG-2 for this purpose. All of them are equipped with an open combustion chamber, but there is a certain difference. So, models 11i, 14i are equipped with an automatic ignition module, and the 11p version uses a piezoelectric spark method.
The 11i volatile modification receives electric current for gas ignition from an Lr20 format battery supplied with the dispenser. The system is equipped with a module that monitors the air ionization characteristic of a burning flame. If it goes out, the automation sends the appropriate commands to the working nodes. The 11i is capable of delivering a rated heating output of 22 kW and a supply of 11 liters of heated water per minute. For version 14i, these parameters are 29 kW, 14 liters of water.
Baxi automatic models are equipped on the facade with a liquid crystal display that shows:
- preset water temperature;
- its achieved level;
- conditional error codes.
As for the mechanical controls, two of them are brought to the body, respectively, setting the heating of the liquid and its pressure. Manual ignition on the 11p model is achieved through the use of a prepared piezo element and a control button inserted into the front panel. The advantage of a non-volatile design is its relative cheapness, which is also achieved by eliminating the digital screen. The system has a thermal rating of 22 kW and a water capacity of 11 liters in 60 seconds.
Automatic columns are equipped with:
- hydraulic valves;
- traction indicators;
- copper heat exchangers;
- devices that regulate water temperature;
- Setaak gas pressure indicators;
- economizers.
The copper heat exchanger is harmoniously docked with a hydraulic group made of high quality brass. The gas burners themselves are made from stainless steel grades. Any Baxi speaker is equipped with devices that provide smooth modulation of the assigned power. A reducer that controls gas pressure is also built into them.Automated models follow the fire with an ionization element, and piezoelectric ones are equipped with a thermocouple.

With piezo ignition - the letter “p” is present in the equipment marking. For the operation of the water heater, a constantly burning pilot wick is used. Semi-automatic speakers are cheaper, while the functionality is retained almost in full. The only drawback: the need for daily ignition of the pilot burner.
