The method of how to paint a bathtub with enamel consists of three stages, this is preliminary surface preparation, that is, major cleaning, primers and the final stage, enameling and drying.
The procedure for cleaning the surface at home from old enamel, rust and chips is considered one of the important stages in the restoration of the bath, on which the quality of the future coating depends. The first step is to carry out the initial wet treatment, making every effort, thoroughly washing the bathtub surface from visible dirt and grease with powder (you can use Comet, baking soda), it is advisable to walk twice. I want to note that if the upper and lower drains are plastic, then it is better to temporarily remove them, but if they are iron, then you can leave them, dry the main edges well, no matter what remains of moisture.

After all the work done, the enamel should dry out for 15 minutes, after which you need to check the surface of the bath for smudges.If there are smudges, then carefully remove them with a brush, pulling them from the bottom up. For an hour, look into the bath from time to time to completely eliminate the resulting smudges. After that, you can close the bathroom for several days, that is, until it dries completely.
