Each cleaning method has its own characteristics. In a private house, it is recommended to install complex cleaning stations connected at the point where the water supply enters the house. They first filter out large particles of impurities, then carry out iron removal and water softening.

You can purify water from iron using shungite.

In the country, it is enough to install filters with oxidizing agents on taps that supply water for drinking or a washing machine.

Before a filter is purchased and installed, you can use the following methods to eliminate impurities:

settling for 10-12 hours, after which half of the liquid is carefully poured into another container;
filtration through activated carbon wrapped in cotton wool;

boiling for 10-15 minutes;

2. Update the natural filter by replacing the layer of gravel and crushed stone on the bottom.

4. Install additional filters.

Sand appears more often in old wells with a reduced flow rate. The best cleaning option is a filter with a stainless steel mesh.

A bag filter will help purify the water in the well from impurities.

Accumulations of clay are a sign of siltation of the well. It must be well pumped and equipped with a bag-type filter. By design, it is similar to a cartridge, but it has a container filled with crushed expanded clay, fine quartz sand or other granular material, and the water moves from the inside out.They produce bag filters for coarse and fine cleaning.

Tannin and humic acid

First of all, it is necessary to exclude the ingress of peat water through cracks in the well pipe. If a well serves as a source, it can be deepened several meters and cut off the peat bog with concrete, form a gravel filter at least 1.5 m high, or equip a well with a depth of at least 25-30 m.

Humic substances are acidic. They appear if a softener is added to the water, as a result of the reaction, the liquid turns yellow. It is cleaned with the help of carbon filter elements, in which the following is used as a sorption material:

• Activated carbon;
• granular aluminum silicate;
• coconut charcoal.
