Another temperature sensor that any vehicle is equipped with is the intake air temperature sensor. At first glance, its role is rather insignificant, and most motorists may not even be aware of its existence. The resulting mixture entering the cylinders is "inferior", which makes the process of its combustion difficult. Hello to all! I was prompted to write this post not so much by the desire to share the repairs made, but by the description and collection of information on this issue. The Internet is full of questions about this sensor, its failure, and ways to fix problems. But these are just questions.

There are no specific answers. I will try to describe the diagnosis and repair according to my personal vision of this problem.If you have the opportunity to competently supplement the post, indicate some points. which were not described by me, then I will be happy to transfer them from the comments to the main entry.

I have a problem with cold weather. The sensor began to lie at 7-10 degrees. If there was a temperature outside - 34, then my sensor showed everything - 40. While driving, the temperature rose slightly, to about -36. The variations were different, I wrote only two examples. I absolutely did not like it. I started looking for a way to solve this problem.

First remedy. It is necessary to neutralize the bad contact in the chip. This can be done by slightly bending the legs on the sensor itself.

The second way to fix. Replace the sensor itself. There are three types of sensors:— 2115-3828210— 2115-3828210-02— 2115-3828210-03

They differ, as I understand it, they are only manufacturers. I have a sensor — 2115-3828210-03. I replaced the sensor — 2115-3828210 with notice VDO.

I must say right away that everything came up, everything works.

Third remedy. Check all contacts on the way from the sensor to the tidy. This is quite problematic to do.

  • Contact check points- in the mounting block on the side of the engine, block X6 Blue-red wire cell 7 (may differ, depends on the year of manufacture of the car) - in the mounting block on the side of the passenger compartment block X4 Blue-red wire cell 15 (may differ, depends on the year of manufacture of the car)
  • - in the dashboard block X2 Blue-red wire cell 1 (may differ, depending on the year of manufacture of the car)

"weight" this is where the ambush begins, since no one knows where this sensor takes the "mass". According to the scheme: the mass is total with the block headlight. But this has not been verified.

Fourth remedy. Replace dashboard. Which, of course, is unlikely, but such a scenario does exist and cannot be ruled out.

Fifth remedy. I also found notes on the Internet that the temperature may not be reflected correctly if the sensor is connected to both the dashboard and the on-board computer. To fix this problem, it is necessary to disconnect the contact from the BC block (cell 7). This is due to the incompatibility of the BC and the Dashboard.

Sixth remedy. Search for a break in the wiring with a multimeter.

Let's say your sensor just failed. You have successfully bought it. It cost me 170 rubles. And you need to change it. It is quite easy to change. Even at -18 like today. It is enough to lay something on the ground to lie under the car for convenience. I used corrugated cardboard. You must first remove the sensor and fasteners.

Carefully bend the latches and the sensor freely comes out of its place. Now you need to disconnect the sensor about the chips. There is a latch on the chip that prevents the sensor and the chip from spontaneously disconnecting. It must be pulled out, that is, in the opposite direction from the sensor and remove the sensor from the chip. It's also quite simple.

Now we connect a new sensor and install it in place, we do everything carefully. The plastic is very brittle.

And now we're going to check.

after replacing the ambient temperature sensor, it is necessary to remove the negative terminal from the battery for 30 seconds. This is necessary in order to reset the readings in the dashboard.

After doing this procedure, I started the engine again and everything returned to normal. The thermometer read -18 degrees, which was absolutely accurate.

Seventh remedy. Try unplugging the negative battery terminal for at least 30 seconds.

Since the USBDM programmer has already tested it at home (CAN recovery) and found out that they can still flash instrument clusters (KP), I decided to flash it myself.

My gearbox is 219240 and came with firmware 007 and did not display engine temperature readings. I decided to reflash to version 009. But as always, the first pancake was lumpy, an error popped up during the firmware and the result was a brick. Again, study the Internet and figure out what's wrong. I found my mistake, reflashed it with a new one - it all worked.

But here the mileage readings became “000” and IMMO got lost. There were no problems with retraining the keys (IMMO), there is a lot of information on the Internet, and he himself has already done it. But restoring the mileage was not easy, the car is under warranty and the mileage is also needed. Turned for help to MrRararai , he helped restore my mileage, for which many thanks to him.

Now I have firmware 012 on the CP.
