The device of double-circuit heating boilers
The main components of the design of the considered units are:
- heat exchanger;
- burner;
- the combustion chamber;
- automatic control.
The material for the production of the heat exchanger can be cast iron, copper, steel or aluminum. Each material has its positive aspects and disadvantages. Steel elements have high heat transfer, have higher strength than cast iron, but are afraid of water. Cast iron assemblies are durable, inexpensive, strong, but heavy, which limits installation options. Copper and aluminum nodes have a high degree of heat transfer, they are not afraid of corrosion, withstand mechanical stress. However, these are low-melting materials and they cannot provide high power.
The main function of the burner is to produce heat to heat the heat carrier in the system. Above the burner is a heat exchanger, inside which is the coolant.
Criteria for choosing double-circuit boilers
The devices in question do not require additional connection to the mains and are able to replace devices for heating running water and stoves. Their main advantages can be called:
- reasonable cost;
- environmental friendliness;
- small dimensions.
In order for the device to serve effectively and for a long time, it is worth observing some requirements: the unit must be equipped with automation, which, in the event of a leak, shuts off the gas automatically.
The main characteristic of boilers is power. When choosing a device for this parameter, one must be guided by climatic conditions, the area of \u200b\u200bthe heated room and the possible heat loss of the building. By power, boilers are:
- from 4 to 65 kW - small;
- up to 1700 kt - medium;
- up to 15000 kW - high.
This characteristic also determines the type of regulation of the device. Modulated or single-stage regulation is typical for low-power boilers. Two-stage or modulated - for medium. For high power units - exclusively modulated.
According to the installation method, double-circuit gas boilers can be floor and wall-mounted. The wall-mounted boiler is equipped with a copper heat exchanger, it is more compact compared to floor counterparts and affordable. They are effective not only in houses, but also in apartments. They can be installed in any convenient place, and they do not require a special room. For a large private house, the best solution would be a floor-standing boiler with a cast-iron heat exchanger. These are quite large units with a long resource.
Combustion chambers in gas 2-circuit units
Closed or open view of the combustion chamber is not a question of the exterior. This characteristic determines the economy of use, efficiency.
An open chamber is an economical option for private households. This device works on the principle of natural draft, when air is taken from the room where the boiler is located. This requires a very powerful hood. Basically, devices with a power above 24 kW have an open combustion chamber.
A boiler with a closed combustion chamber is an ideal solution for a residential area. They can be of two types - parapet and chimney. Chimney - a complex turbocharged version. Here, the air necessary for combustion is forced by the turbine. The main advantages of such boilers:
- performance;
- the possibility of smooth power control;
- simple installation;
- safety;
- environmental friendliness;
- economy.
In rooms where a chimney was not provided, a parapet-type boiler can be connected, in which the combustion product is removed through a special coaxial pipe.
