6.3.7 Determining the length of handfuls
Every third handful of those selected according to 6.1.1 is measured with a ruler with an error of not more than 1 cm. Separate protruding fibers at the ends of the handfuls are not measured. The arithmetic mean of the results of 10 measurements is taken as the final measurement result. The calculation is carried out to the first decimal place, followed by rounding to an integer.
