Application of materials Thermite
Extruded polystyrene foam is perfect for thermal insulation both indoors and outdoors. Most often, this material is used for:
- protection against heat loss of the walls and foundation of the building;
- roof and attic insulation;
- rigid insulated blind area;
- floor and ceiling protection.
Wall and foundation insulation
Due to their low thermal conductivity, materials under the Termit brand are perfect for external protection of the walls of a house, a protruding part of a foundation or a basement. The plates are fastened without creating a special frame, which greatly facilitates the work and reduces the cost of thermal insulation. Each element is first attached to the construction adhesive, and then additionally fixed with plate-shaped polymer dowels.
Low vapor permeability eliminates the need for waterproofing films and membranes. But such a scheme of insulation involves the device of internal ventilation of the premises.
To provide protection against heat loss in a temperate climate, a layer of insulation of 50 mm is sufficient, which also helps to reduce costs when installing thermal insulation.
Floor, ceiling and roof protection
When insulating the floor, the scheme of laying the material in two layers is most often used. This approach reduces the number of cold bridges. Due to the high ability of the material to retain heat, the total thickness of the layer can be no more than 80 mm.
To insulate the ceiling and interfloor ceilings, it is enough to use plates with a thickness of 30 - 50 mm. Such protection will completely eliminate heat loss through the ceiling.
In the case of a heat-insulating layer in the attic space, a layer of material of 50 mm is also sufficient. Its thermal resistance is enough to protect the room from heat loss in winter and overheating from roofing material in summer.
Soil insulation during the installation of a blind area
A rigid blind area made of concrete or tiles provides not only effective protection against waterlogging of the foundation, but also the prevention of its freezing in winter. Due to its high rigidity and strength, Thermite insulation can be used with a similar design. Its presence will help prevent freezing of the soil near the foundation and the removal of heat through the base of the house.
The right choice of insulation will provide not only a comfortable microclimate in the house, but also save money while maintaining it.
The construction of partitions
To create partitions from building board THERMIT SP you can use a wooden or metal frame. It is also possible to install a partition without a frame on a solution in a floor U-profile (if the partition does not reach the ceiling), or use a U-profile both on the floor and on the ceiling (if the height of the partition to the ceiling is not more than 2500 mm, that is, the maximum slab height THERMIT SP). advantage THERMIT SP is that the installation of partitions does not require additional thermal insulation and waterproofing. Plates weigh quite a bit, but at the same time they have a large bearing capacity. Instead of a standard partition with plates THERMIT SP it is easy to implement any design solution - for example, to build a decorative partition in the form of a rack.
Technical characteristics of extruded polystyrene boards Thermit
Thermal insulation "Termite" has a lower coefficient of heat conductivity compared to other materials that are used in construction for insulation and sound insulation. Insulation "Termite" facilitates the mass of structures under construction, helps to save on space heating, increases the life of the building, since repairs during its use will not be needed for many years. The term of its operation without loss of heat-insulating qualities is more than 50 years.
The use of this material allows you to reduce the cost of materials and labor costs. "Termite" combines the characteristics due to which it is often used in low-rise construction. 1 sheet has a size of 1190x590x30x mm, which facilitates transportation to the construction site and work with insulation.
Strength and stiffness
Strength and rigidity are the main characteristics of the insulation that determine its choice. "Termite" has a rigid structure. It is able to withstand loads up to 25 tons per 1 m². The plates are also resistant to the onslaught of rodents.
combustibility
Thermite boards are resistant to fire, so their use during thermal insulation works will serve as additional protection against fire.
The insulation does not spread the flame over the surface, it is a self-extinguishing material, which is important in the construction of housing and various objects of the national economy
Construction panels Thermite
Building panels "Thermite"
THERMITE are environmentally friendly building panels based on expanded or extruded polystyrene foam. A special polymer-cement coating reinforced with fiberglass mesh gives the panels truly unique properties.
The panels have proven themselves in construction as an excellent structural and heat-insulating material. The quality of the panels is ensured by a high production culture and our own technical control service, which performs instrumental checks of both purchased components and finished products.
TERMITE provides a 20-year warranty and all necessary certificates for its products.
The main areas of application of TERMITE universal building panels:
- external thermal insulation (exterior walls, including basement basements, building coverings);
- internal heat and sound insulation (external walls, including basement walls, ceilings, loggias, balconies, floors, including heated ones, Turkish baths - hamams);
- execution of structural and decorative elements of premises, including bathrooms, pools and showers (ducts, partitions, cabins, steps, benches, shelves, suspended ceilings, decorative columns, arches, cornices, fireplaces, etc.);
- filling of external enclosing structures of mobile prefabricated buildings.
TERMITE panels are produced in thicknesses from 10 to 150 mm, with one- or two-sided coating. The full range includes more than twenty standard sizes of panels and products from them.
