Noise isolation MaxForte is considered a composite roll material with which you can equip an apartment, offices and recording studios. Products are produced for work with walls, ceilings and floors. Products are ideal for small apartments, where every free centimeter matters.

All products are easy to install, along with high acoustic performance. The manufacturer performs quality control at each stage of production, so the products comply with the requirements of SNiP dated 03/23/2003 in accordance with the Noise Protection clause.

Advantages and disadvantages

MaxForte soundproofing material is the only material that combines four qualities:

  • Sound absorption. The product retains and absorbs vibration and shock-type noise. Such sounds include repairs, blows on the upper floors, the sound of footsteps, the creak of parquet.
  • Soundproofing. The manufacturer guarantees the effectiveness of its products when compared with other brands. The products provide good protection against airborne noise. These include conversations and quarrels of neighbors, loud music, TV.
  • Acoustics. MaxForte offers a material that provides acoustic comfort. This quality is relevant for a half-empty and unfurnished room in which there is an echo.
  • Waterproofing. Waterproofing qualities are achieved through a thin rubber base.

It should also be noted the following advantages of the material:

  • Environmentally friendly, as there are no volatile resins and formaldehydes in the list of ingredients.
  • thermal insulation qualities. Products comply with GOST.
  • The material is flexible and elastic.
  • Low degree of susceptibility to combustion. Products are resistant to moisture, mold formation.
  • The product does not undergo the process of decay and has antiseptic properties.
  • Durability. The material has no expiration dates.
  • The manufacturer provides a lifetime warranty.

Among the shortcomings, some users note only the high cost of the goods, which is fully offset by the quality of the products.

How to choose

Improving the soundproofing of a home is a difficult task that will require the appropriate knowledge and skills. First of all, you need to make a competent choice of products, after which you can start work in an apartment or house.

Many people choose thin material for finishing. Reducing the thickness is normal, but a good soundproofing scheme should have a minimum thickness of 4 cm. The thicker the structure, the better the soundproofing performance.

Before buying soundproofing for walls, floors or ceilings, you will need to decide what kind of noise you need to work with. There are two types of noise:

  • air;
  • drums;
  • structural.

To protect against airborne noise, you should purchase products with a fibrous structure, low water absorption, resistance to burning, high strength and sound absorption.

The rest of the noise can be eliminated by materials with a low level of elasticity.

Experts recommend using three rules to create high-quality sound insulation in your room:

First of all, you need to determine the source of the noise. Based on this parameter, the soundproofing material is selected. To do this, you need to study all surfaces and check the noise level. Partial soundproofing of a room often helps to eliminate noise problems. To identify the source, you need to put your ear to the surface and compare the noise level. Isolation should start from the noisiest place, after which the effect can be compared. If the noise level has not decreased enough, it will be necessary to lay the material on the second loudest fence.

  • Specify the type of noise. This parameter allows you to make the right choice of soundproofing material and system design. If loud conversations of neighbors, music and other voice sounds are heard in the apartment, protection from airborne noise will be required. It spreads through the fence that separates the apartments (floor, walls, ceiling).
  • If the sound of footsteps on the upper floors or the noise from falling things is a concern, this is impact noise. The sounds made by the elevator, air conditioning, pumping station are structural noises. The fight against sounds of this type is carried out in the zone of their formation. Such sounds are distributed in a vibrational way, so they penetrate the room from all sides. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out soundproofing of the room from the inside. The material is laid on all surfaces: floor, walls, ceiling.

MaxForte offers products that can be installed on floors, walls and ceilings. For each type of surface there is a collection that has all the necessary qualities.

Mounting Tips

Installation of MaxForte soundproofing material is easy and fast. To facilitate the installation process, you should study the recommendations of specialists using the example of working with Standard products.

Laying of products should be carried out only after a detailed inspection of the surface. To determine the presence of voids in the walls, you will need to resort to tapping. All cracks and other defects should be repaired with gypsum-type plaster or cement-sand mortar. The voids must be filled with cement-sand mortar. It is also required to inspect the joints. Slits are not allowed.

Laying the material consists of the following steps:

  • After preparing the base, you should start laying. The soft side of the roll must be in contact with the surface to be insulated.
  • The surface of the roll is fixed with a plastic fungus. The clamps must be 70 mm long. For each canvas, three fungi are required.
  • Rolls are overlapped, 4–5 cm wide.
  • The formed joints must be connected using mounting tape with reinforcement.
  • Then you can proceed to fixing the guides through the soundproofing. Details are fixed to the wall. A metal frame can be used as a profile material.
  • Make sure that the parts do not adhere rigidly to the surface and base.
  • Under the guide profile there is a damping tape substrate.

In order for the soundproofing material to fulfill its tasks, the installation of the skin must be carried out in accordance with the rules. Installation consists of the following steps:

  • You will need a gypsum fiber sheet, the thickness of which is 10 mm. An installation step of 600 mm must be observed.
  • The seams that are present between the canvas will need to be treated with silicone sealant. Make sure the seams do not match. They should be spaced at a distance of half the width of one canvas.
  • Joints are treated with putty.
  • When laying soundproofing, you will need to ensure that the sheathing does not come into contact with the walls, the surface of the ceiling and the floor. This rule applies to profile guides.
  • When the skin is installed, the seams will need to be treated with a non-drying type of silicone sealant. Alternatively, polyurethane or acrylic sealants can be used. For these purposes, you can not use mounting foam.

Experts recommend combining the "Standard" material with the "ECOplate".

In the work, you also need to follow the sequence of actions:

  • You need to attach a product from the Standard collection to the draft base, after which you can proceed with the installation of a metal profile.
  • In the intervals between the metal profile there will be an "ECOplate".
  • Then a gypsum-fiber sheet is laid, which is covered with GKL.
  • Seams will also need to be filled.

These rules will help you correctly install products, as well as avoid common mistakes.
