Toilet freshener bomb recipes
I'll start with the simplest recipe - in fact, I made my bombs according to this recipe :)
Author – Maria Sself (mariasself.com)
For manufacturing you need:
- 1 and 1/3 cups baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 30 drops of lavender essential oil
- 30 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 30 drops of lemon essential oil
Choose essential oils with persistent odors and antibacterial action. I took essential oils of lavender, lemon and tea tree.
Mix citric acid and soda, drip essential oils, mix. And now you need to moisten the mixture to a state in which you can sculpt from it :) The mixture should not be too wet, add liquid gently from the sprayer a little bit to avoid the reaction between soda and acid. They sprinkled it, mixed it - they tried it with their fingers for the ability to mold, etc.
We tamp the mixture prepared in this way into molds for ice and leave to dry for 6 hours. After drying, we put the pieces in a glass container with a lid and send it to the toilet room :) You can use it :)
How to use - I think it's understandable :) You can throw a fizzy bomb just into the toilet, or you can put it in a drain tank and drain the water from it after a few minutes. The result is a clean toilet bowl and fragrant air in the toilet room!
The second recipe is from Sarah Lipoff (savvysugar.com). Here, the recipe also contains vinegar and hydrogen peroxide, which will further clean and disinfect the toilet bowl.
You will need:
- 1 glass of soda
- 1/4 cup citric acid
- 0.5 teaspoon of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide
- 15-20 drops of essential oils
Mix soda with citric acid. In a small container, mix vinegar and peroxide and add dropwise to the main mixture throughout the entire volume while stirring. Next, add essential oils, mix thoroughly.
Spoon the mixture onto a piece of parchment paper. Let dry for at least four hours.
You can use! This is a great way to get rid of bad odors!
And the last recipe from Martha Stewart (marthastewart.com). In her version of effervescent bombs, corn starch is also present, it holds all the ingredients together well.
Recipe:
- 1 and 3/4 cups of soda
- 1 glass of citric acid
- 2 cups cornstarch
- food coloring
- essential oils - drops of 5-10 three to four types (mint, lavender, lemon, grapefruit)
Mix starch, soda, dye and citric acid, add essential oils, add water from a spray bottle, put into molds. Dry for at least 2 hours.
My dears, the idea is really great, the bombs work very well. Moreover, this is an absolutely wonderful gift option for mothers, grandmothers and neat girlfriends, don't you think? By the way, just keep a couple of bombs open in the toilet and bathroom - they will fill the room with a pleasant smell.
